The whole reason this app exists
“There isn’t enough room on any card to keep track in a volatile match.”
“By my count, Player A won 11 bets, Player B won 1. Just the front side. I’m almost certain I counted that wrong.”
Press Tracker is the room the scorecard doesn’t have.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
- Is Press Tracker free?
- Yes, free on iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 and later. Sign in with Apple and set up a match in under a minute.
- What kind of golf app is Press Tracker?
- A free golf scoring app built for the games your group actually plays. Roundups of cool golf apps are mostly GPS yardages and swing analyzers; Press Tracker is the other kind: a game and score tracking app that runs your Nassau, match play, Stableford, and skins, tracks every press and side bet as it happens, and keeps one running net so nobody loses track. If your Saturday game has money on it, this is the golf app built for that.
- I don't like being on my phone while golfing. Will Press Tracker keep me glued to it?
- The opposite: it's built to stay in your pocket. A live Home Screen and Lock Screen widget shows the match stance at a glance, score entry is one tap, press opportunities take a single selection, and the full press and match history is waiting whenever you want it. Tap in a score, drop the phone in the cart pocket, go play.
- What golf games can I track?
- Every play format: match play, stroke play, Stableford, and BRB (Best Ball, Scramble, and Alternate Shot in one match) across two- or three-team matches, with pressable side games (Front 9, Back 9, Total, or any combination, plus BRB's own four pressable segments), each carrying its own illustrative stakes. An optional skins pot, carryovers included, runs alongside any match. New to Stableford scoring? Here’s how it works →
- What is Press Tracker's BRB play format?
- BRB is a team match that rotates through three formats in one round. In an 18-hole match: Best Ball on holes 1–6, Scramble on holes 7–12, and Alternate Shot on holes 13–18. In a 9-hole match: Best Ball on 1–3, Scramble on 4–6, and Alternate Shot on 7–9. Each segment is independently tracked and pressable as its own side game, and BRB Total runs across every played hole of the match as a fourth pressable side game.
- What is a press in golf?
- A press is a new concurrent side match that runs alongside the base match, at the same stakes, covering the remaining holes of that side game. You can press manually at any point as long as you're down to your opponent (and if you'd rather press while the match is all square, there's an option for that too). There's no cap: initiate as many presses as the round can hold, which is exactly why this app was built for groups who like action 😉 Read the full guide to presses →
- How do you keep track of presses in golf?
- On paper, every press means another column scribbled into the scorecard margin and another number to total by hand, which is exactly where groups lose count. Press Tracker replaces the margin math: one tap logs each press, chains stay legible no matter how deep they go, and a single running net across every game updates the moment scores go in.
- Can my friends follow our matches?
- Yes. Friends can spectate live as scores and presses land, and every finished match, chains and all, is saved to a private feed only your friends can see and revisit. Nobody outside your circle sees a thing, and the group chat gets its receipts.
- Do presses trigger automatically?
- They can. Set your match up with automatic presses and the app fires them for you the moment a game calls for it, no taps needed. And here's where the fun happens: with or without auto-presses enabled, you can throw in a manual press at any point, or as Justin Thomas likes to call it, throwing the HAMMER. The live press log tracks every chain and the running net either way.
- Does Press Tracker handle real money?
- No. Press Tracker never accepts, holds, or moves money, and it has no payment integrations. Dollar amounts are illustrative scorekeeping for entertainment only, so your group settles up however it always has. 18+.
Always know exactly where you stand.
